Darlington Raceway
May 9, 2009This will be a Saturday night running of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway. Darlington Raceway is an egg-shaped irregular oval with a length of 1.366 miles that boasts of being "Too Tough To Tame". Darlington is one of the toughest tracks on the circuit.

Tickets:
Race tickets for the Sprint Cup series are in the Tyler Tower, located near the start/finish line and the Pearson Tower in turn four. The Tyler Tower is located above the Wallace grandstand so even though the rows may seem low, you are above another grandstand. The Pearson Tower in turn 4 is a new grandstand and it is elevated, so even the lowest rows have excellent views. Both have great views of the track and front stretch pits. Prior to the Saturday Sprint Cup race, you will be treated to our famous Southern BBQ tailgate party catered locally. This is some of the best BBQ in South Carolina. Our tailgate party is located beside our bus parking area. Alcoholic beverages are not included.Itinerary:
Saturday: We have two pick-up locations: 1. Kroger-Oglethorpe Mall, we depart at 11:30 am from this location 2. The Food Lion in Pooler, the bus departs at 12:00 noon from here. We'll stop for a break and last minute items then continue to Darlington. Upon arrival in Darlington, we'll have our tailgate party prior to the race. After the race, we'll return to Savannah with the estimated time of arrival around 3:00 AM.
