August 1968 marks the date of Infineon Raceway's ground breaking with construction completion being December 1968. At this time, the first event was held on the 12 turn, 2.5 mile track. NASCAR's debut at Infineon Raceway came in 1999 with Ricky Rudd taking the checkered flag.
Owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc., Infineon Raceway is located just 30 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and serves as the gateway to the beautiful Sonomo Wine Country.

About Homewood Suites- Fairfield

The Homewood Suites by Hilton-Fairfield, built in 2007, is a first class all-suite hotel located just miles from Napa Valley Wine Country. It features a full cooked to order breakfast each morning, suites with a refrigerator and microwave in each room, state of the art fitness center, indoor heated pool and hot tub and much more. The Homewood Suites by Hilton is approximately 23 miles from the track and approximately 50 miles from San Francisco.
This hotel has a business center and pets are allowed.
Friday: You will arrive at the Homewood Suites- Fairfield. Sprint Cup Series qualifying will be at the track today. Qualifying for this road course race is one lap, all positions. Track transfers are not provided.
Saturday: The NASCAR Elite Division, West Series race is today. Track transfers are not provided.
Sunday: Because track transfers are not available for this tour, you will want to depart the hotel early to get to Infineon Raceway in time to shop for souvenirs and to enjoy the pre-race activities. The Toyota/Save Mart 350 is tentatively scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
